英國語文/職業英語

學科目標

本科目標旨在提昇學生的英語水平,學習嘗試以英語:

  • 進行思考及溝通;
  • 應用及發展所得的知識;
  • 表達及回應生活的經歷;

以及從上述內容發展及應用所學的知識和技能,從而認識英語的系統、應用方法及學習技巧。

教學的主要方向可分為三個範疇:人際溝通、知識應用及生活經歷,當中涵蓋聽、說、讀、寫四方面的語言技巧以及語言的知識:文體、詞語、語法等。

三個範疇:

    1. 人際溝通
      發展學生持續提昇英語的技巧用以
      • 建立及維繫良好的人際關係;
      • 交流意見及想法;及
      • 完成工作。

 

    1. 知識應用
      發展學生持續提昇英語的技巧用以
      • 提供、尋找、解釋及使用英語的資料;
      • 探究、表達及應用知識;及
      • 解難。

 

  1. 生活經歷
    發展學生持續提昇英語的技巧用以
    • 對真實和虛構的生活經歷表達意見及作出回應。
Subject Target

The subject target of English Language is for learners to develop an ever-improving capability to use English:

  • to think and communicate;
  • to acquire, develop and apply knowledge;
  • to respond and give expression to experience;

and within these contexts, to develop and apply an ever-increasing understanding of how language is organized, used and learned.

The main direction for teaching and learning is supported by three strands (Interpersonal, Knowledge and Experience) in which language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) and knowledge of the language (e.g. Text-types, vocabulary, grammatical items) are applied meaningfully.

Three Strands

    1. Interpersonal
      To develop an ever-improving capability to use English
      • to establish and maintain relationships;
      • to exchange ideas and information; and
      • to get things done.

 

    1. Knowledge
      To develop an ever-improving capability to use English
      • to provide or find out, interpret and use information;
      • to explore, express and apply ideas; and
      • to solve problems

 

  1. Experience
    To develop an ever-improving capability to use English
    • to respond and give expression to real and imaginative experience.
